To avoid the sporadic but all-to-frequent server problems at our original host, we’re moving to a new, more reliable one.
What will change for users?
Nothing.
We’ll still be at our original address, www.happytc.com.
The move is under-the-hood only and shouldn’t even be noticeable to HappyTC users (except for the fact that annoying timeouts and other errors should all but cease). The actual cut-over is planned for the morning of Monday Oct. 29th… there will be a flicker of unavailability as we haul over the couch, TV, etc. but it shouldn’t be long.
As mentioned to the owner of the new outfit, so far it feels like moving into a new condo after living in a shanty town — sure, the rent was cheaper (although not by much), but the plumbing consisted of a garbage-choked ditch at the side of the road. Hopefully the great unwashed doesn’t wise-up and try to follow.
